AV-102 Catalyst AP (Ammonium persulfate, often referred to as AP) is a white crystalline solid used as the initiator for the polymerization reaction of acrylic and acrylate monomers and used with Avanti’s AV-100® Chemical Grout [Acrylamide]. Ammonium persulfate (AP) is a required acrylamide grout mix component and can be increased from 5 lbs. (1% by weight, 60 oz. by volume) to a maximum of 15 lbs. (3% by weight, 180 oz. by volume). AV-102 is a strong oxidizing material which decomposes over time.
